[Bug 547199] Re: mythtv-setup.real crashed with SIGSEGV in MultipleStringStructure::GetSegment()

I agree with you. The development team is still searching for how to best get valid stack traces. A change was made last night to hopefully help with that:

This will be released into the wild (to the PPA) in 24 hours, and onto packages.ubuntu on the beta2 upload for 10.04.
In the mean time, I'm closing this ticket. If you can reproduce, please open a new ticket with new stacktrace/backtrace.
