[Bug 544711] Re: Installation freezes at "Configuring Infrared Devices"

 

Hopefully that above commit to mythbuntu-live-autostart helps.  I couldn't reproduce your scenario, but looking over the logs it seemed like debconf was getting interrupted by the stdout from mythbuntu-lirc-generator.
I tried to block stdout/stdin/stderr from being processed at that time, which looked liked where it was hanging.

If you still have problems on tomorrow (or later) media which should
contain mythbuntu-live-autostart, please follow those same steps you
used to file this bug by running ubiquity in debug mode again (ubiquity
-d) and uploading logs using ubuntu-bug (ubuntu-bug ubiquity).

These are the logs for bug 543801; I couldn't get Launchpad to find it, so my only option was to create a new bug.

MythBuntu 10.04 Beta 1, installing a 'Primary Backend' only (and of course no remote control) hangs at 82%, every time I install.
