Crash happens at start-up: background is drawn, but no images/menues, yet

During the last working invocation of mythfrontend the Painter was changed from Qt to OpenGL, and Font sizes reduced for small, medium and big fonts.

CDs/DVDs dont seem to be involved, as all drives are empty (unlike bug #549593).
