Status in Mythbuntu, Ubuntu derivative focused upon MythTV: New

Bug description:
I had HDMI sound working fine with my NVidia based mythbuntu box in both jaunty and karmic, but after the lucid upgrade I am getting horrible white noise from live TV. MythMusic and other sound programs are working fine, only TV playback (both live and recorded) is bad. 

What is odd is that at one point it just started working, but after a reboot it is broken again. I have tried several asound.conf files but no luck.
