[Bug 458444] Re: dvb-usb-af9015 should be updated to the latest version to resolve some issues

 

I2C Errors cropping up on specific af9015 platforms is a known problem
due to this chipset's implementations having a lot of variability and
the linux driver tending to lag behind new hardware versions quite a
bit.

Checking on the V4L wiki, the Peak/K-World PC-160-T is known to be buggy
with the current linux driver. I'm afraid you'll have to wait for
upstream support fixes for this specific hardware from Linux TV and I'll
have to refer you to http://www.linuxtv.org/

The firmware that comes for af9015 is not the latest version and it has an issue that blasts dmesg with this two error messages:
af9015: command failed:255
dvb-usb: error while querying for an remote control event.

The latest firmware version 0.95 solves this issue:
