[Bug 636896] Re: lirc dpkg-config should split ir-receiver and remote configuration
This is actually what used to be done in the Ubuntu packages, and it
confused users to no end. Now-adays, if you can't get by on the stuff
in the list, you should choose 'custom', and populate
/etc/lirc/hardware.conf yourself.

Bug description:
Binary package hint: lirc
IR-receiver and remote used are not an integrated whole. To be able to present user friendly options, it would be better in the dpkg configure screen to first ask about the IR-receiver, and then ask which remote is used. Right now it assumes that if you have a certain DVB-card IR-sensor, you also use the supplied remote.
My case: My myth-tv backend has a DVB-card with integrated IR-sensor, but I use the remote from that DVB-card on my frontend, which has a homebrew IR-sensor.
