Howdy, and thank you for helping to improve Mythbuntu by opening this
ticket.  10.10 is all but shipped, and is shipping with MythTV 0.23.1
because 0.24 is not released (not to mention stable enough).

I've done a bit of research, and while the "buffer failed too many
times." appears to be a well documented problem in the past, there were
fixes that went into 0.24 that should resolve most, if not all, cases of
it.  Could you please look this thread and see if any of the items
regarding storage groups, nfs mounts, or especially profiles help you to
resolve the problem?

For example, do you get crashes, or just this error?  If you get crashes, please install the -dbg package as described here:
