Title:
Timeshifted playback is broken
Status in “mythtv” package in Ubuntu:
Expired
Bug description:
Binary package hint: mythtv
Mythtv does not update the length of a recording when it is playing that recording. This causes problems when watching a recording that is still being recorded, eg. timeshifted TV viewing.
If the recording was fx. 10 minutes long when playback started, mythtv-frontend will stop playback after having played these 10 minutes, and report that the recording was interrupted, and ask user to delete or keep it. It is a false error message as in fact the recording has continued without problem on the backend and is now 20 minutes long.
Timeshifted playback is effectively broken since it is constantly interrupted by this false error.
Using mythtv-backend on a remote machine running Mythbuntu-10.04.
This is a regression, worked fine in 9.04's mythtv frontend.
