[Bug 730437] Re: mythtv password is encrypted, in /etc/mythtv/mysql.txt, but mysql server wants a clear password

 

wmqY0wC4 isn't the encrypted password, it's the plaintext password that
is generated upon install. I wonder why it wasn't set as the password
though.

Bug description:
  Binary package hint: mythtv

  A synaptic install of mythtv also installs mysql the password set during the install appears in 
  /etc/mythtv{mysql.txt,config.xml} as an encrypted password 
  mythbackend fails to connect to the database

  2011-03-06 19:04:03.125 New DB connection, total: 1
  2011-03-06 19:04:03.191 Unable to connect to database!
  2011-03-06 19:04:03.243 Driver error was [1/1045]:

  Setting the password to its unencrypted value in the above 2 files
  allows the database to be contacted.
