Bug description:
  Binary package hint: lirc

  using Synaptic, I removed and tried to re-install lirc since it had
  failed to upgrade from 10.10 to 11.04beta.  This didn't solve the
  problem, installation still failed.  Ubuntu then prompted me to create
  this bug report.
