  mythtv playback very fast

Status in Mythbuntu, Ubuntu derivative focused upon MythTV:
  New

Bug description:
  playback recordings and (primarily mkv) movies, starts fine for a few
  seconds but then speeds up to fast forward speed. playing the
  recording or mkv file in mplayer reports a lot of warnings that first
  key is not a keyframe (so it could be a recording issue) which the
  Internal player doesn't seem to handle too well. also i sometimes see
  audio errors that say 'Audio device is in a bad state'. when the
  recording stops playing the audio more times than not keeps repeating
  the last half second until i restart gdm.
