  10.04 Upgrade, backend no longer communicating with mysql database

Status in Mythbuntu, Ubuntu derivative focused upon MythTV:

Status in “mysql-dfsg-5.1” package in Ubuntu:
  Won't Fix

Bug description:
  After performing the upgrade to 10.04 I no longer was able to access
  mythtv. whenever I try running setup the results tell me there is no
  connection to mysql database or upnp. I cant seem to see any posts
  since the relase just like this.
