Title:
saa7134 Sabrent SBTTVFM H-338 remote not listed in the lirc
installation
Status in “lirc” package in Ubuntu:
Invalid
Bug description:
Binary package hint: lirc
While following the documentation
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/InstallLirc/Gutsy my remote was not
listed. I have a Sabrent SBTTVFM card that came with a Wahoo H-338
remote. I have located a patch in the video4linux-list mailing list
archives http://marc.info/?l=linux-video&m=111048935527205&w=2
Perhaps the patch is needed to list the remote in lirc install? I
don't write c, so I can't help there, and the patch is outdated for
the current structure of v4l-dvb by several kernel releases.
I'm running Ubuntu 7.10 amd64x2, running lirc current release as of
date of this post...think its 0.8.2 but I'm on another putter at the
moment.
Any help getting this patch and lircd.conf into the mainstream would
be greatly appreciated, not only for myself but the many others that I
have found on various forums looking for a way to make the Sabrent
SBTTVFM H-338 remote work.
Not all of the info I have referred to is directly related to lirc,
but I thought it might help get the ball rolling towards a solution
for lirc.
Thank you,
Observative
