Status in Mythbuntu, Ubuntu derivative focused upon MythTV:
  Fix Released

Bug description:
  Using 0.24 nighly builds.

  the metadata grabbers residing in /usr/share/mythtv/metadata are only
  part of mythtv-backend.

  If you want to update metadata on a remote frontend, the grabbers are
  not available.
