Message #05855
[Bug 875189] Re: Cannot
Nope. This useless error message is what happens the first time you run
mythfrontend. It has a randomly generated password which, due to being
random, does not match the password on the backend. But instead of
telling you that, it just says "Cannot".
** Summary changed:
- Cannot
+ Mythfrontend gives a useless error message when backend password is wrong
** Description changed:
- Cannot
+ To reproduce:
+
+ 1. Set up a mythtv backend.
+ 2. Install myth frontend and attempt to run it.
+ 3. Like the backend, the frontend automatically generates a random password on first run. But it is random, so it doesn't work.
+ 4. "Cannot"
