[Bug 934023] Re: mceusb remote stops working after lucid->precise upgrade
Unfortunately lircrc files are stored in a user's home directory. To at
least cover a majority of the people who would hit this problem, it
would be best to just re-run mythbuntu-lirc-generator as the user
initiating the upgrade if that user has a .lirc directory (generated by
mythbuntu-lirc-generator).
So does update-manager support a package providing a snippet to run, or
does it need to be added directly to update manager code?

mceusb remote stops working after lucid->precise upgrade

Bug description:
I had a previously functioning mceusb remote with lucid. After the
precise upgrade it stopped working.
It appears that this is caused by button names that changed with the
upgrade. The /etc/lirc/lircd.conf sources the lircd.conf included
with the package so these button names in the lircrc may not be
consistent.
If I re-run mythbuntu-lirc-generator after the upgrade, my media
applications begin working again.
