We can't cover every possible scenario, and this one is pretty remote. I
would recommend unmounting the drive during an upgrade, then remounting
it after the upgrade is complete (or just getting rid of the NTFS drive
completely :) )

Bug description:
  It seems the installer needs different file access rights than mythtv
  itself. The installer crashes when its trying to write something in
  the streaming folder, but it is unable to change the permission of
  that file. Since the folder is on a Windows partition, changing
  permissions is not quite so straightforward.
