I cannot reproduce this bug. With 12.04.1 the rtlwifi firmware is
available and loaded. however performance/stability  is poor and you
need the latest 0006.0514.2012 version to work correctly.

  This chip will be natively supported in Ubuntu when the firmware is
  available.
