In terms of other stuff you could do to help - you can reproduce this
easily right?  If so, install the mythtv-dbg package.  It has the
debugging symbols necessary to make a useful stack trace.  Then
reproduce it and file a new bug.  Mark this bug as a duplicate of that
bug.

Title:
  mythfrontend.real crashed with SIGSEGV in VideoMetadata::GetWatched()

Status in Mythbuntu, Ubuntu derivative focused upon MythTV:
  New

Bug description:
  Nearly every time I mark a video as watched and immedately after that
  do scan for changes the frontend crashes.

  I should mention that there is an active filter (watched=no) when I
  mark the video as watched and start a scan for changes. (I don't know
  if that counts.)
