I'm using the 0.27+fixes mythbuntu repos on top of my stock Ubuntu
13.10. I hit this bug during a routine "apt-get update && apt-get -y
upgrade" of a previously functional mythbackend+mythweb server.

The workaround in the second comment worked for me too, so it's not
terribly urgent, but this is the kind of difficulty that keeps me from
recommending MythTV to even my tech-savvy friends.
