Howdy, and thanks for your bug report. I believe Bug #1298610 contains
the planned fixed, so I am marking this bug as a duplicate of that.

Title:
  No wifi (BCM4321) after upgrade because linux-firmware-nonfree isn't
  installed (removed ?)

Status in “linux-firmware-nonfree” package in Ubuntu:
  New

Bug description:
  I've upgraded my Ubuntu from 13.04 => 14.04.

  Wifi worked very well on 13.04

  No wifi after upgrade to 14.04.

  After many evening to try to fix wifi, I found that I need to install
  linux-firmware-nonfree

  Question : why this package was installed on 13.04 and missing
  (removed) after upgrade ?

  How can I help you to fix it for every BCM4321 user ?

  How can we say : if laptap have BCM4321 and linux-firmware-nonfree
  package missing, ask to user to install it ?

  Best regards,
  Stephane
