Not a fresh install in my case. Error occurs when trying to run the
Weather Add-on, which is newly added, and not configured.

Title:
  sendProfile.py crashed with UUIDError in read_uuid(): Unable to save
  UUID to /home/username/.mythtv/HardwareProfile/hw-uuid.  Please run
  once as root.

Status in Mythbuntu, Ubuntu derivative focused upon MythTV:
  Invalid

Bug description:
  This is a fresh install... I was loading  a new mythtv theme and the
  error appeared.Hope you can sort this problem have done serveral clean
  installs and reports that an error occured... first with mencoder
  bug#1008302 and now this with mythtv and slo experienceing slow copy
  over network using rsync... sorry to say this release seems very buggy
