[Bug 232380] Re: mythtv-frontend setting the screen offsets show xfce menu
We really do appreciate you opening this ticket to help improve
Mythbuntu, but it needs to be closed for a number of reasons. The
biggest one is that upstream has moved on to a new version and believes
this to be fixed. Could you please verify if this issue still exists in
the latest version?
Please do not let the closing of this ticket dissuade you from opening a
new ticket if this (or any other) problem occurs with the newer
versions.

Title:
mythtv-frontend setting the screen offsets show xfce menu
Status in Mythbuntu, Ubuntu derivative focused upon MythTV:
Expired
Bug description:
Fixing overscan on a CRT always involves setting the offsets of the
mythtv frontend screen. When settings these offsets to anything other
than zero (the default), either by manually entering the numbers of by
using the new 0.21 screen setup wizard causes the xfce menu bar to
show at the top of the screen and the frontend screen is moved down
below it. So 0x0 of the frontend window starts directly below the bar.
The also results in the bottom of the frontend screen moving off the
bottom of the X screen.
Resetting the offsets to zero moves the frontend back into fullscreen
covering the xfce menu. Even setting the offset to 1 pixel produces
this bug.
