Furthermore, in the new version 0.9.4c mode2 actually supports
displaying data from the event device. Can you please check again using
the 0.9.4c version?  (Note that the update requires major configuration
changes)

  Upgraded from 10.04 to 11.04 and can't make my Hauppauge HVR-3000
  remote work.

  after lircd -H dev/input -d /dev/input/eventX
  irrecord and irw can't get any input
