  Binary package hint: lirc

  I installed ubuntu 9.10 on my AMD X64 box and all is running fine.

  But I currently stuck on starting the LIRC service. It fails with

  When I start

     /usr/sbin/lircd -H dev/input -d /dev/input/event5 -n

  and in another shell "irw" I can see the key presses of the remote well returned.
  I have no further idea why the service fail to start. No related messages are reported in the syslog.

  Please find the hardware.conf and lircd.conf together with uname -a
