Seemed to impact any older version of mythbackend talking
to mariadb but I only skimmed it, honestly.

Closed via merge into the fixes/31 branch on 2021-05-29
(10:50-ish, US/Eastern)

So if other people are having this problem then maybe
it's worth trying to release a focal build of
2:31.0+fixes > 20210529

I'm in the process of upgrading to jammy myself so suppose
i won't be having this problem for long, since the "fixes/31"
merge was cherry picked from a merge that's part of the "v32.0"
history
