Title:
  only mounted devices showed on desktop

Bug description:
  edubuntu usb live - italian localisation - I choose to show all my
  devices in the launcher and actually I have them all displayed, but,
  when I set "show devices icon" option on, my desktop displays just the
  mounted ones. See attached screen-shot.
