[Question #117926]: Backup of .jpg files should not re-compress
New question #117926 on NSsbackup:
https://answers.launchpad.net/nssbackup/+question/117926
Hi guys, I have a suggestion.
Would it be possible to backup .jpg (and other binary) files without trying to compress them.
most of what i backup are my wifes pictures, and the backup and restore of the 100GB takes a loooong time.
What i was thinking is: set the compression options at the directory path level instead of for all, if this is hard to implement, then can we have 2 different backups - say1 for the compressed paths and the other for the un-compressed.
In actual fact, the more i think about it, the 2 backups should even be able to be scheduled differently. ie system backup every day and photo backup every week.... So can we define a schedule at the path level as well?
Thanks very much.
Regards, Ralph.
