Re: [Question #141679]: nssbackup does not work when backing up root directory (/*)
Question #141679 on nssbackup changed:
https://answers.launchpad.net/nssbackup/+question/141679
Jean-Peer Lorenz posted a new comment:
Thank you for reporting this issue.
I think you're messing some things together:
1. yes I can confirm there are difficulties when a user wants to select the whole filesystem (i.e. the root '/' directory)
2. I really doubt nssbackup created that folder '/root' - this folder is the home-directory of the admin (the root user) and is always present within a Linux filesystem.
In order to check if a backup was created you should inspect the backup
destination you've defined.
I'll investigate this further. Providing some information would help:
- how did you include your '/' root directory?
- was a backup done?
Thanks.
