Hello openstep,

there is no package of sbackup 0.11 available for ubuntu 8.04 since it's
mainly  a desktop backup solution and 8.04-desktop is no longer
supported.

However, you could try to install it directly from the source code.
sbackup 0.11.4 is written in Python and therefore not hard to install
from source (no compiling required). Just have a look at the README file
and maybe you want to give it a try (you can test it in a virtual
machine to be safe).
