Charlie Poole proposed the following answer:
NUnit 2.1 was quite a long time ago, so it's possible the same symptoms
have resurfaced for a different reason. The message in question is
fairly general, so it's not necessarily the same bug.

The current version of NUnit V2 is 2.4.8, so it may be worthwhile to
test with that version rather than 2.4.7.

If the problem persists, please file a bug against the nunitv2 project.
This is the nunit-3.0 project.

FYI, nunitv2 and nunit-3.0 are separate because they have different
scopes and because the code is being completely redeveloped. See
