Hi small.objects,

As the error messages says your Emacs is loading an old version of nxml-
mode. That can not be used with Emacs 23 (which includes nxml-mode). So
you must remove loading the old version.

Are you loading it yourself or is it something in site-start that is
loading it?

You may also want to look at bug
https://bugs.launchpad.net/nxhtml/+bug/354363 where we discovered this
problem.
