[Question #110173]: isn't xhtml dead on arrival?
New question #110173 on nXhtml:
https://answers.launchpad.net/nxhtml/+question/110173
I want to edit html and in particular html5.
True xhtml is not served in very many places. If you look at this page I'm editing right now, there is no xml tag at the top of the page and the content type is served up as text/html. I've actually gotten a few of my servers to serve up xhtml and it is no fun at all. And the rest of the planet seems to agree. html5 has only a minimum amount of xml'isms in it.
I very quickly toyed with xhtml mode and it was upset with me. I'm still working on making it happy but I thought I would post and ask a question. No one so far has asked abut html5 on this board.
Has anyone done it? Any hints?
I've found a few posts about making nxml happy with html5. I'm going to try and merge those suggestions with xhtml and see if I can make it work.
Thank you for your help
