Hm, Launchpad lets me edit your question, but not my answer... ;-)

Change rng to rnc in my answer above because that is the file extension
used for Relax NG files.

I notice Dave Pawson has put up a page about editing XHTML5 with nxml-
mode, se here:

I will mail him and ask if that is stable enough to put in Emacs
already. (Otherwise perhaps I can put it in nXhtml since that is more
easy to update than the whole of Emacs.)
