I tried to install it again after killing the installation process and
this is what i got:

sudo aptitude install approx

Status in “approx” package in Ubuntu: New

Bug description:
Binary package hint: approx

This happens with me with ubuntu 10.04 32bit as well as 64 bit also

sudo aptitude install approx

When i try to install this package using the previous command, it gives me the following :
