I'm going to mark this bug as a duplicate of bug #601732.

Even though they are different packages, the underlying cause is the
same, and I'd like to have one bug where I can address that.

Status in “approx” package in Ubuntu: New

Bug description:
Binary package hint: approx

This happens with me with ubuntu 10.04 32bit as well as 64 bit also

sudo aptitude install approx

When i try to install this package using the previous command, it gives me the following :
