dalla versione 1.0.3 alla 1.0.4 non è stato toccato niente che possa influenzare i flussi mms..
dai tuoi logs sembra che il lettore tenti di aprire un flusso smooth (e i files vc1 e wav nella /tmp sono probabilmente vuoti)

cmq anche in questo caso senza i logs dell'estensione è difficile capire il problema..
prova ad abilitare la preferenza Debug dell'estensione e lanciare firefox da riga di comando, con lo switch -console
