Ciao, puoi cambiare il file di configurazione (dovrebbe essere
/etc/mplayer.conf o ~/.mplayer/config a memoria) e mettere vo=vdpau come
giustamente dice kowalsky.

Oppure puoi farti un piccolo script wrapper in cui aggiungi i parametri che
vuoi a mplayer e impostare quello nelle preferenze di raismth.

Ad esempio puoi farti un /home/utente/mplayer_vdpau.sh che fa
mplayer -vo vdpau $*
