Novamente has been using GCC 4.X for a while, so no worries.

Sounds okay to me. Breaking compatibility with old compilers doesn't seem to
present any problems for OpenCog.

Ditto - it's not like we have legacy users to think about yet ;)

... well apart from Novamente, but I assume it'll cause no problems there.
