Message #00260
filing bugs & RFEs against OpenCog
Hi All,
In the near future, we'll need a healthy collection of bugs & RFEs to get a
pulse on and invigorate developer interest in OpenCog.
Already some at #opencog have expressed interest in being assigned small
tasks and/or projects.
Of course it will take time to build a bug collection, and presently OpenCog
is still running in low-visibility mode, but when we're ready to stand up
and wave our hands about OpenCog, it will be good to have a ready-made list
of tasks that newcomers can choose from.
Also, now is a good time to discuss or make suggestions about the process,
meta data like milestones, etc. at https://bugs.launchpad.net/opencog/
For the workflow of larger projects that use multi-dependent bugs, I suggest
we work to collect and summarize list and chat discussions on these topics
at https://blueprints.launchpad.net/opencog and if applicable also describe
how they fit into larger development goals at
http://opencog.org/wiki/Development, http://opencog.org/wiki/Projects or
http://opencog.org/wiki/Ideas (ideally these three pages should represent a
hierarchy of in-development, committed, and nice-to-have project ideas).
Thoughts? Suggestions? Ideas? Bugs? :-)
Cheers,
-dave
