... although now I have to work out why the PLNShell is segfaulting
(possibly because of working in 64 bit - will check that tomorrow),
but at least it compiles and links correctly.

I've also decided that the util and util2 files need serious clean up.
Some of my troubles were caused by functions being defined but not
implemented, or implemented in utils when the function was defined in
utils2!
