That was me.  And all I was trying to say is that Linas is writing new
code whereas all these other guys are porting stuff.  As such, Linas
is actually running the code and trying to get something to come out
of it, and that means he wants different things from it than the guys
who just want what they are porting to compile.  If something gets
broken, Linas is going to be hit hardest by it.. which is why he was
working off main, not staging.  Now everyone is saying he should be
working off staging, while at the same time saying that staging may
break stuff.. so I think he needs some indication of how much effort
people are going to put into not breaking the "core".
