Re: [Bug 633991] Re: Don't support the chinese characters

Hi xrg,

I've noticed your continuous great contributions to both the Openerp
project and its global community. We all owe you a big thanks.

I followed your tips of V6 changes and found the 'customfonts' module
and an server option for adding fonts directory. I will adjust my code
accordingly.

"However, I see another challenge: when we replace "Times" eg.
with SimHei fonts, what happens to the other latin or non-latin
        characters? "

The SimHei and SimSun fonts that we used in the report module is
actually aliases of open sourced wenquanyi fonts(wenquanyi.org), which
including Latin characters, Japanese kanas, hanguls and symbols from
many other languages. Basically, it is not a problem to showing a report
in most of popular languages by using only these two fonts.

However, it is really a challenge though for how we gonna set/use
different font for different language. Creating different rml template
for different language is not an option here. Hard coding the font name
in rml template as we are doing now is probably the source of the
problem. I would love to listen to your opinion on this.

Thanks and best regards,

Tony Gu
