Hello,

you are all important Community leaders of OpenERP that do invest time in making OpenERP better. Along with Tiny we would like to set up a new team/mailing list to discuss how to improve community interaction with Tiny/OpenERP, so please I encourage you to join that team (+mailing list):
https://launchpad.net/~openerp-community-leaders.

For instance, a hot topic is how we will have OpenERP "drivers" team (an other team here https://launchpad.net/~openerp-drivers ) will be able to decide bug criticity and assign them to milestones. That would require Tiny to change the "bug supervisor" status of their server/addons/client.. projects from the "quality team" to the "driver team". That's just on example of the things that should be discussed on that list.
Please consider there will be very few people first so may be we
wait a few days a bit important folks subscribe to the list before
actually starting those discussions.
Also, because there is currently a bottleneck with Tiny to process
the community information, this is VERY important to keep that list
restricted to only the most involved folks in the community, people
that know OpenERP, ERP, how open source works and that proved in the
past they invested time in OpenERP. The role of the community leader
team will be very central as their member will pretty much moderate
all other expert teams, so please help us to make sure we keep that
list small and efficient with a transparent meritocracy to enter it.
This is not the place for naysayers that actually do not invest time/
effort to contribute.
I certainly miss a few folks here, please suggest a few names. Also
we will soon establish the entry rules (like working with OpenERP
more than 1 year, having a Karma superior to X and published like 2
integration success stories...) This will be open for discussion,
especially here.
BTW, I'll soon make a blog post to explain how Tiny and us plan to
decentralize the current community-Tiny communication bottleneck
using distributed expert teams and peer review.
If we debate first about the things that should an can be done on
this list we will also avoid everybody calling Tiny to tell them the
same thing over and over without actually integrating the information.
For the moment, I'll try to dedicate one day/week to building those
process, aside from the regular community activity I have; the
objective is to have more community work contributed to the coming
5.2 (freeze will be delayed by some 2 months to wait for those
community contribs).

Best regards,

Raphaël Valyi
