Re: Local Communities Websites
Hi,
I'm just copy/pasting my answer to Carlos here:

Hi Carlos,
First of all, let me say that I really appreciate the idea of a single "pythonic" website for the whole community.
This sounds really good and should be suggested to Fabien. I'm sure he will agree with such a thing.
I know they're working hard those time to build their new website. During the community days, I was with Fabien
in the workshop for the community process and so. I really "fought" hard to have a place where we (partner) can show our
contributions and work. I mean it's a fair point. Customer should see who really work with the tools and who's not !
I succeed finally to have for each partner a detailed page about : contributions, references, and skills. We receive from
Marc Laporte a mail on the partner mailling list for that (on the 3 of Aug.).
Your idea go even further on that way and I can only say YES. The access through sub-domain is also a good one.
This will as you said guarantee each "official" community.
I'm behind you for this. Let me know if I can help in anything about this topic.
Thanks for contacting me about it.
Best regards,
Joël

From the branch that hosts the website code, it should be very easy and painless to replicate the functionality for each particular community. I think of it like an “OpenERP social network”, but with karma not only for each Launchpad contribution but also for OpenERP Forum participation, translations of the documentation, blog posts, succeed implementation cases, etc. That will guarantee not only the current $partner$ program but also a really proved-guarantee partner program, where it should be really easy to know what OpenERP consulting company the client should trust.
