[Bug 1270207] Re: Multi company not functional in ocb

Hi Ronald,

the issues that you mention, I have not been able to reproduce on
today's OCB revisions.

The issues that you and Stéphane encountered sound like lp:1073087. It's
fix, https://code.launchpad.net/~openerp-dev/openobject-
server/7.0-opw-591308-jam/+merge/158311 has been merged some time ago in
upstream OpenERP, and have arrived in OCB during the nightly replay
process. You might want to check that your sources are up to date.

It may be the case that the synchronization of companies between users
and their partners fail in some cases. If that is the case, I would
welcome your feedback on this on the OpenERP or OCB bug tracker but for
now I think it is safe to invalidate that there is something
fundamentally wrong with multicompany in OCB as opposed to OpenERP
branches.

Title:
Multi company not functional in ocb

Status in OpenERP Community Backports (Server):
  Invalid
Status in OpenERP Community Backports (Server) 7.0 series:
  Invalid

Bug description:
I try to setup multicompany in ocb (server/addons/web all very recent,
no other community modules installed or even in the addons path).

First I install sale, purchase and warehouse with demodata. I grant
admin all authorities. Then I create a second company. grant admin
access to the second company. Then copy the admin user to admin_second
with all the same authorities, except limited to the second company. I
also remove the company from one customer, and from one supplier.

  If I login as admin_second:
I can NOT see any customer
I can NOT see any supplier
I can NOT create a chart of accounts for the second company.

If I then login as admin again and create a chart of accounts for the second company, then login as admin_second again:
I can NOT create a supplier
I can NOT create a customer
I can NOT create a normal contact, that is neither a company, a supplier or a customer

In all three attempts above I get the message that I am not allowed to
  read Document type Partner.

In effect multicompany has been rendered useless on ocb.

I a reversal of the usual state of affairs, the problem does not occur
  on the standard openobject branches.

I still have no idea about what might be the cause for these problems.
