Daniel, if I understand correctly, it is not the case that the module per se is rejected for inclusion in a community project. This proposal is rejected in favour of https://code.launchpad.net/~gdgellatly/server-env-tools/base-synchro-7.0/+merge/200127, and I hope we can count on Serpent to help maintaining it further from there.
