I don't think sweeping these problems under the rug is the correct way to fix this issue, even if it's the strategy used by e.g. the GTK client.

I'd rather we find out *why* the key is not available, and either fix the web client for real (if we realize it's forgetting to propagate a piece of context somewhere) or fix the addon's invalid context/domain.

Side-note: the issue seems to have been fixed in the web client, so I closed the related bug and will mark this merge proposal as rejected.
