It seems there's a lot of misunderstandings behind this discussion.

Actually, we are not asking to know when you are planning to release 
things or to know the specifications of your R&D projects.

Here we just need you (openerp sa) to share your thoughts.

It's not a matter of curiosity.
When we partners and community, start to develop something, for fun or 
for customers, we must be sure that what we are going to implement can 
be migrated in the nearly future, for instance.

If often happens that we develop something then you completely rewrite 
what we inherited.

Having access to this kind of plans would save as a lot of time and money.

Often we submit issues, you don't care about them, we develop patches by 
ourselves then you say <<you have wasted your time because we have 
already reimplemented that>>

This is what we DO NOT want. just this (for the beginning)

I think this is not complicated to organise.

workshops during the community days aren't enough.
we need to know in advance what could be the consequences of our actions 
and decisions, and to achieve this we just need to talk more :-)
