Is there any indication from the current devs in charge to gradually

Hi,
there is no indication to that at all. All the code is freely available.
The repositories of OpenERP past and future releases are open on
Launchpad, so that the development can be followed from day to day.
Daily rebuilt installers are provided by OpenERP SA on their website.
OpenERP is still governed by a single commercial entity and no other
party has access to the official branches. The future development
roadmap is not public (if it exists) and is not discussed with the
community. But that does not change the fact that all the code is open
under the AGPL-3 license. Many tools and helper scripts are in various
Launchpad projects under the same license as well.
Note that migration between major releases of OpenERP is not supported
without a support contract. Community project for that here:
https://launchpad.net/openupgrade-server, but it lags quite a bit on the
official releases.
Cheers,
Stefan.
